Sweet Tooth featured in Tech Spotlight

November 4, 2011

Posted by Steve Deckert

  • Sweet Tooth was recently featured in the Waterloo Region Record last week in a Tech Spotlight Special. The special mentions several key innovators in the Waterloo Region, and discusses technology trends and strategies in some really well written articles.

    The article, titled "Sweet Tooth Offers Sweet Deal for Retailers" is on page 44 and features an interview with Mike Rossi who discusses Sweet Tooth's genesis, current state and long term strategies. The article opens with:

    The creative minds at WDCA have come up with a customer loyalty program that sweetens the deal for its clients like no other.

    We are really proud to be mentioned among the other great innovators, and would like to congratulate everyone on their success and thank The Record for taking the time to meet and photograph us.

We Take The Pledge!

October 13, 2011

Posted by Steve Deckert

  • Everyone here at Sweet Tooth is really excited about the new X.commerce platform! We see X.commerce as a great new way to deliver some truly helpful solutions to merchants and consumers. We are happy to take the X.commerce pledge!

    We Pledge To...

    The X.commerce Pledge:

    We believe that merchants should harness technology, not the other way around. Technology solutions should be future-proof and meet their needs, not enslave them with confusion and costs.

    We believe that developers should have one place where they can plug in, get the latest and greatest tools they need to build killer apps and features, using proven code.

    We believe in helping all merchants and developers compete, save time, share ideas, grow, and frankly just make more money—faster.

    And we’re realists; we know we can’t do it alone. Things are changing constantly, new ideas and technologies crop up daily. The customer is in control. The notion of “build it and they will come” is dead. To win in the commerce game, we need to combine forces, roll up our sleeves, stay caffeinated, and shape the future of commerce.

    We pledge to make this happen in an open, transparent, and collaborative way. After all, isn’t that the way it should be?

    Join us. Opt in. Take a pledge to:

    • Actively participate in the X.commerce ecosystem by testing and building innovative commerce solutions;
    • Communicate regularly, thoughtfully, and honestly to the X.commerce community on what works, what inspires you, and what needs more (or less) attention;
    • Contribute to the ecosystem via ideas, technology, or solutions;
    • Think big, think about the customer. Think and ideate on a global and disruptive scale, while never losing sight of the needs of each customer.

    We are really excited to be a part of this bright, new platform!

New Sweet Tooth Instore Case Study!

October 5, 2011

Posted by Steve Deckert

  • We recently launched a new, exciting product: Sweet Tooth Instore.

    Prior to launching this, we worked with several awesome clients of ours to develop and test Instore, and we'd like to formally thank every one of them for their awesome input, and great ideas!

    AltSmoke is one of those awesome customers. Altsmoke was one of the first retailers using Sweet Tooth Instore in their retail location, and owner Rob Winslow experienced some great results within the first month of using Instore.

    In one month:

    • 100 new customer accounts were created
    • 22.4% of these new customer accounts logged into AltSmoke.com within the month and continued the sign up
    • 53.1% of the new customer accounts repurchased within the month

    These are the hard statistics, but here's what we're most proud of:

    Rob Winslow: "The interface couldn't be simpler...We will definitely be using this application in our other stores when they open!"

    Check out the full case study here!

Referrals Module v3.1.0.0!

October 5, 2011

Posted by Steve Deckert

  • A new update to our referrals module was just released and includes some fixes as well as some great new features.

    We're now compatible with Magento 1.6 and 1.6.1 and Magento Enterprise Edition 1.11. If you're considering using our referrals module, we have some more awesome news for you: we've made our module easier to install than ever before.

    Along with improving the install process we've greatly improved the customer side interface by including referral links in the customer invitation email. We have also made the email customization process much easier for you, as a merchant.

    We've also included a new affiliate points status that will allow you to further automate your referral process. Now, if your customer refers their friend that makes a purchase, affiliate points are placed in pending status until the order is approved.

    We've also expanded the way you can reward customers for referring their friends with fixed point distributions. If you'd prefer to know exactly how many points your customers will earn rather than points being a percentage of the referral order, you now have this ability!

    Full Change Log Here.

    Check out our Referrals Module on Magento Connect Here.
