Referrals Module v3.1.0.0!

• A new update to our referrals module was just released and includes some fixes as well as some great new features.

  We're now compatible with Magento 1.6 and 1.6.1 and Magento Enterprise Edition 1.11. If you're considering using our referrals module, we have some more awesome news for you: we've made our module easier to install than ever before.

  Along with improving the install process we've greatly improved the customer side interface by including referral links in the customer invitation email. We have also made the email customization process much easier for you, as a merchant.

  We've also included a new affiliate points status that will allow you to further automate your referral process. Now, if your customer refers their friend that makes a purchase, affiliate points are placed in pending status until the order is approved.

  We've also expanded the way you can reward customers for referring their friends with fixed point distributions. If you'd prefer to know exactly how many points your customers will earn rather than points being a percentage of the referral order, you now have this ability!

Referrals/Affiliate Magento Extension v3.0 Scheduled With Plaxo Integration!

  The new Sweet Tooth Referral Extension version 3.0 will feature Plaxo integration and a bunch of other changes in appearance. This feature that Steve has actually just finished coding allows store customers to invite mulitple friends at once to the store. It'll include our new cleaned up template files and full support for Magento 1.5. The Sweet Tooth Referral/Affiliate extension is set to release in a couple weeks- around the time when Magento 1.5 stable gets released. v1.3.1 and Referral/Affiliate System 2.0 Are Ready for Magento 1.4.1!

  We're excited to announce Sweet Tooth announce two new releases for Sweet Tooth: Sweet Tooth 1.3.1 and Sweet Tooth Referral and Affiliates 2.0.
  
  

  Sweet Tooth Version 1.3.1

  
  
  Sweet Tooth Version 1.3.1 adds compatibility for Magento 1.4.1 and fixes many issues and tweaks that were reported by the faithful Sweet Tooth store owners around the world.

  New Version 2.0 of the Sweet Tooth Referral and Affiliate Extension for Magento

  
  
  The new version features a tonne of new additions that were requested by users over the last 6 months. These features include:

  
  
  • - Allow customers to refer by URL, Code or E-mail address
  • - Field in the checkout and sign-up pages to enter referral information.
  • - Allow customers to choose to be notified when their referrals do something that rewards the customer some referral points
  • - A bunch of new configuration options.
  • - Much much more

Sweet Tooth Referrals/Affiliates 2.0 And More Coming Soon!

  I thought I'd make a post about what we're currently working on. the most popular requests have been the following features:
  
  1. Forced catalog redemptions, force customers to spend their points on a product or they can't buy the product. This can be used to create a points-only store.
  2. Referral link/code for rewards. Customers should be given a referral link so they don't have to send out referral e-mails in order to refer other customers.

  
  Here's a preview of the new referral system URL/Code/Email block in the customers My Referrals section:

  
  

  

  
  You will be able to customize the display and/or remove this block completely in the back-end configuration. And of course, templates and skins will be included so you can customize the appearance and text :).

  
  We're working on these features and you will be seeing a release separately in the near future.

Sweet Tooth 1.3 Referral Program Preview

  I thought I'd also give a preview of the upcoming referral program as well. Here's how it looks in the new referrals section for customers:
  
  

  
  

  How customers can refer other customers for points.

  
  

  Customers will be able to see a detailed status of the customers that they refer and monitor the accumulated points that they have earned as a result of the referral. In the back-end administrators are able to set points earned for any or all of the following events:
  
  

  • - Fixed earnings when customer signs up to site
  • - Fixed earnings when customer makes first order
  • - Variable points earned depending on the referral's order size. For example, you can tell the customer they also earn 25% of the points that their referral earns on each order.
